Week 1 Day 5 – Data Structures & Algorithms
Ayyy! Friday was a pretty great day in terms of productivity. My partner and I had a great pairing session so we got a lot done. There were a lot of a-ha moments too. The topic of the day was data structures and algorithms so I definitely learned a lot when it came to new topics such as trees and data structures. I found breadth-first-search and depth-first-search both very interesting and it was great to be able to implement these concepts and see them take form. So far, that’s what I love most about coding so far: everything that you’re learning, you can immediately implement the concept and see it in action.
I’m actually really looking forward to diving deeper into these concepts and see its implementation.
Otherwise, first Friday of the session and that meant a happy hour social with the works. It was an incredible opportunity to network and connect with people not only from my cohort, but the previous cohort as well. I left early though so that I could go back home to South Bay and spend some time with the girlfriend.
The rest of the weekend’s going to be spent on studying for the assessment on Monday…. wish me luck!
