Week 13 Day 4 – Catching Up
I think I have a pretty solid game plan of how to attack my projects and finish them in a timely manner. With the help of one of the career coaches, we were able to segment my long list of to-dos into a structured execution plan.
We’ll start by finishing up my JS project this weekend, hopefully early next week if not by Monday. Following the JS project, I’ll go back and tackle my Full-Stack project for a week or so. I have a list of features I want to add to improve my web application, as well as some general bug fixing, especially with some features that were broken due to Heroku. I’ll then spend a full day working on job application materials. Finishing out my resume, writing sub paragraphs for my cover letters, and most of all, working on my portfolio page and making that presentable. I’m debating on how I want to approach my portfolio page. I think I’ll start by just getting one up through a template. And then after I roll out RailsLite, ActiveRecordLite and jQueryLite, I’ll migrate my portfolio and projects over to my custom frameworks.
And finally, while working on Hacker projects and my own project in React Native, I’ll continue to build on my algorithm and data structures knowledge by reworking projects, studying various interview books, etc.
That’s it for today! I’m still behind on algorithms and data structures projects so I can’t really write anything on it, but today’s project is on Dijkstra’s Algorithm. Here’s a funny(if you get it) meme on how Dijkstra’s algorithm was made. I’ll definitely go into detail when I learn the algorithm in depth:
But yea, more to talk about tomorrow! I’m attending a Google co-working meet-up, so lots to talk about!
